Tour in Nature and Horseback Riding

35 miles South of Barcelona, The Penedes Land of wines and diversity of landscapes in North east Spain enjoys a climate second to none. From the sandy beaches of El Garraf to the highest mountains of Tarragona, this Tour offers you an original formula which combines sport, adventure and cultural visits, leisure and entertainment in Spain.

Day 1: New York / Barcelona

Overnight flight from New York to Barcelona.

Day 2: Barcelona / Ranch Cercos

Arrive in the morning at Barcelona airport where your host will greet you and transfer you to Ranch Cercos (40 mn drive). The remainder of the morning is to relax and acclimate.
Afternoon is devoted to Horses, allocation and "Get acquainted ride".

Day 3: El Garraf

Explore the beauty of these rocky mountains, with wild open spaces, dry and bushy vegetation. Night in a comfortable guesthouse.

Day 4: Penedes Vineyards

We follow the ancient Roman path, to visit the battle fields and the monastery of San Sebastian Del Dorgs.

Day 5: Alt Penedes / Mediona

After a beautiful morning of breathtaking panoramic views of Alt Penedes, we reach the canyon of Mediona following the footsteps of Napoleon towards the tenth century castle where we will spend the night in the monk's rooms. A medieval dinner will be provided with a medieval play for entertainment.

Day 6: Font-Rubi / Santes Creus

Explore the cliffs of Font-Rubi, where the pass leads us into the mountain range of Tarragona. We spend the night at a comfortable Inn in the fortified outpost of Santes Creus.

Day 7: Marmellar

Visit the monastery of Santes Creus, a jewel of Cisterian art. Continue your journey through the canyons that lead us back to the valley through the abandoned village of Marmellar, destroyed during the Spanish civil war. Dinner and overnight in a farmhouse.

Day 8: Sierra Gros / Valladossera

Explore in the morning the beautiful of Sierra Gros mountains and hills. Afternoon visit to a cava producer (Catalan Champagne) and wine tasting at Valldossera. Over night and farewell party at the Ranch.

Day 9: Barcelona / New York

Transfer to Barcelona airport to catch the international flight back to New York. Short visit of historic Barcelona if time allows it.
